FASTRAK GREAT LAKES INNAUGRAL CARSHOW A SUCCESS FOR ALL!
Bright sunny skies greeted Fastrak Great Lakes drivers, race fans and Shawano Walmart customers Saturday afternoon July 3, 2010. Several hundred fans stopped by to visit with drivers and get a close up look at the Fastrak Great Lakes Late Models.
Drivers Adam Janke, Cody Welch, Josh Moesch, Joel Bennett, Jeff Curtin, and former Fastrak driver Craig Bartz spent three hours lifting kids in and out of their cars and posing for pictures. Bartz's daughter Jordan brought her racing go kart and had fun showing it to the youngsters in attendance. Over three hundred people stopped by to see the cars. $64 was raised for the Childrens Miracle Network.
Walmart managers were overwhelmed by the positive feedback in the store about the car show. Manager, Marty Monfils commented, "Customers told us they enjoyed seeing the cars close up and the kids being able to sit in them. We look forward to having Fastrak Great Lakes here again in the future."
People are already asking when we will do it again. It was very good for some of our younger drivers to get this exposure. All in all a very good day!
